Its Doop Day!

I think this is from that Divided we Stand mini that came after Messiah Complex?  I think that is the only time that David Lafuente drew Surge.  I just remember feeling really confused during this weird transition of the Xbooks.  My favorite title (New X-men) was being stealth cancelled, my other favorite title was being reformatted into a Professor X monthly, which face it, was not super great, and I had no faith that X-force would be good (though I was mostly, very wrong on that point). The whole storyline just seemed shohorned into Matt Fraction’s concept driven Uncanny X-men, but they had to somehow tread water until issue 500.
So the X-men disband, and leave all of the students to fend for themselves, only to reform in SF two months later.

I could go off on a whole rant about the Fraction days, but I would rather keep that deep in my heart.
